📢 Solid Tactics – The New Research Arrives in Rise of Castles

In update 25.805.1, Rise of Castles introduced a new technology research: Solid Tactics, available starting from Season X1. While this addition promises to enhance army performance in different battlefields, it has also sparked debate among players due to its high War Badge cost and limited impact compared to other researches.

🔎 What does Solid Tactics offer?

Solid Tactics distributes its bonuses across Siege, Non-Siege battles, and general improvements for all troops:

Siege

  • Might: +5%

  • Resistance: +5%

Siege Attacks

  • Tactical Might: +10%

Siege Defense

  • Might: +5%

  • Resistance: +5%

  • Tactical Might: +10%

Non-Siege

  • Might: +5%

  • Resistance: +5%

  • Tactical Might: +10%

All Troops

  • Might: +15%

  • Resistance: +15%

  • Tactical Resistance: +10%

  • Training Speed: +10%

  • HP: +10%

  • Lower Training Cost: +10%

  • Damage: +5%

💰 Research Cost

Solid Tactics uses War Badges as its main resource:

We already have 100% of the research, thanks to data from Ivan Petrovski and CommanderMon, which cost an incredible 3,476,740 War Badges.

⚔️ Is it worth the investment? A critical view

Despite being a new and flashy research, Solid Tactics does not deliver an impact proportional to its cost.

Pros:

  • Provides reduced training cost and faster training speed for T10 troops.

  • Improves general stats like Might, Resistance, and HP for all troops.

Cons:

  • Combat bonuses are relatively low for such a high investment.

  • The 3 million War Badge requirement is overwhelming for most players.

  • Compared to other researches, it does not bring game-changing advantages in the short term.

🎯 Comparison with other researches

  • Dragon Blood Blessing: if not yet completed, this should be the absolute priority, as it brings stronger benefits to battles.

  • Royal Tech: currently more impactful, since it not only offers training cost and time reduction but also increases troop quantity — a decisive factor for the next Eden.

📝 Conclusion

Solid Tactics is an interesting addition and brings some useful upgrades, especially for T10 training. However, due to its very high cost and limited combat impact, it should not be the priority for most players.

👉 If you have not yet finished researches like Dragon Blood Blessing or Royal Tech, focus on them first.👉 Endgame players with spare resources may find Solid Tactics a strategic extra, but not a revolutionary one.

This tech is simply not worth the investment. A number of the benefits can be achieved with other techs and castle skins or rewards. I am not sure why the developers thought it would be useful.
